Lots of people (including me) have been finding recently that when they paste a link to a youtube video into a Facebook post, it is no longer creating a preview and description of the video in the post. So what you're getting is this:
I spent a while searching around online for a solution to this problem. There were a couple of solutions offered but they only seemed to work part of the time. So I spent a bit of time on in and I think I've found the answer
A video we produced a few months back for the Cedar Court Grand Hotel York, which is due to be released shortly, has made the shortlist for the Institute of Videography awards 2012 in the category 'Best Corporate Video'. These are the biggest awards of their kind in our industry in the UK and we are very excited about making the shortlist. We're up against some tough competition but we're very proud of this video so we'll let you know how we get on! Check it out here on the IoV website.
I am a true YouTube fanatic (as I may have mentioned before!). It’s an amazing platform for filmmaking talent as well as a treasure-trove of spontaneously captured moments (like cats falling into washing baskets etc). As you'll probably have gathered if you've had a look around the site, most of the videos we create end up online; either on our client's websites, on youtube or as web adverts. Over the last couple of years I've put a lot of time and effort into studying where web video is going, as is has been growing (and continues to grow) at an exponential rate. The most interesting aspect of this is the way it is slowly but surely starting to impinge on the traditional TV audience. Particularly for younger viewers, those evening we used to spend flicking aimlessly from one channel to another are now being spent more and more on YouTube/Vevo/Vimeo/Vidi flicking aimlessly from video to video.
